Contest Rules and Terms
Here are some general contest rules covering all contests on THE BEAT (updated July 1, 2019):
You must be at least 18-years-old to enter any of our contests. Employees, volunteers and others affiliated with THE BEAT along with their families are not eligible to enter.
No purchase is necessary for any of our contests.
You may enter our contests from anywhere in the world as long as your local laws allow you to. You are responsible for knowing your local laws. THE BEAT is not responsible for prizes which cannot be redeemed outside of the United States.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your entry form.
One entry per person, per day, per contest is allowed. We strongly encourage entering each active contest daily.
Entry multipliers are optional, but we encourage participation in them. They will greatly increase your chances of winning over folks who do not participate. For example: if you enter a 15-day-long contest each day and click 4 entry multipliers, you will have entered said contest 5 times per day times 15 – or a total of 75 times. Compare those odds to someone who only enters a contest one time and doesn’t participate in any of the multiplier options.
Note that if you win and you had checked the multiplier boxes, THE BEAT will check to make sure you did your part (usually social media posting/liking/following) regarding the multiplier. Please be accurate and honest.
There are no moratoriums after you win. Winners may continue entering all contests daily.
Winners are responsible for taxes, duties, etc. (if any) on prizes.
THE BEAT is not responsible for lost entries due to server/Internet outages or other technical difficulties.
Unless otherwise stated, all prizes will be shipped FREE OF CHARGE (or in the case of electronic vouchers – emailed) to winners using the information submitted via the entry form. THE BEAT will NEVER ask winners for any personal information beyond that already given or for money for shipping costs. We will only verify the information submitted by the winner during the contest. Any entity claiming to be affiliated with THE BEAT which requests personal information and/or requests shipping money is to be deemed fraudulent and should be ignored.
THE BEAT will notify prize winners using the contact information submitted via the entry form.
THE BEAT reserves the right to publicly announce prize winners by their first name and City/State on the air or via any other means.
With the exception of fulfillment of a prize with a vendor, supplier, etc. to a winner, THE BEAT will never share ANY of your personal information with anyone – ever. THE BEAT will only use your personal contact information to contact you regarding these contests.
THE BEAT reserves the right to substitute prizes for alternate prizes of equal or greater value.
THE BEAT reserves the right to update or modify these rules at any time without notice.
THE BEAT reserves the right to cancel a contest at any time for any reason.
