Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR
CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Sweepstakes Overview: The Pittsburgh Penguins 2022-23 Shop ‘n Save Shutout Sweepstakes (the
“Sweepstakes”) will give Penguins fans the opportunity to win Prizes throughout the regular season. To
enter, Penguins fans can register on the Pittsburgh Penguins’ website located at
www.pittsburghpenguins.com/shopnsaveshutoutcontest (the “Site”). Prizes awarded will vary
depending on whether the Penguins post a Shutout for the applicable game.
2. Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia,
who are the age of majority or older in the jurisdiction in which they reside at the time of entry. Void in
all other jurisdictions and where prohibited by law. Employees and directors of the Pittsburgh Penguins
LP (“Sponsor”), SUPERVALU INC., and each of their parent and subsidiary companies, affiliates, divisions,
franchisees, representatives, consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers, distributors, legal counsel,
advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, and members of their
immediate families (defined for these purposes as including spouse, parents, children, and siblings and
each of their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same household, are not eligible to
participate. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor,
which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
3. Sponsor: Pittsburgh Penguins LP, 1001 Fifth Avenue; Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
4. Timing: The Sweepstakes begins October 13, 2022, at 12:00:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on
June 30, 2023 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All times stated by Sponsor are in Eastern
Time (local to Pittsburgh, PA). Entries received before or outside of the Sweepstakes Period will not be
accepted or be eligible to win the stated Prize, except as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules.
Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this Sweepstakes.
5. How to Enter: Visit the Site and follow Sponsor’s instructions to register to enter. Complying with
Sponsor’s instructions and these Official Rules will generate one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes for the
Sweepstakes Period. Limit: Each entrant may obtain only one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Multiple
entrants are not permitted to share an email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than
the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email accounts, identities, registrations and
logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entry and that entrant may be disqualified from the
entire Sweepstakes. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in
disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the
email account used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the
natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or
other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the
submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized
account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.
6. Potential Winner Selection: There will be one random drawing (“Drawing”) for each Penguins game
listed below (each, a “Game”). Sponsor will select a potential prize winner for each Game from all
eligible non-winning entries received prior to the Entry Deadline. The “Entry Deadline” will be 12:00:00
am ET on the Date of the Drawing. The date of the Drawing will be on or around the date of the
applicable Game (each, a “Date of Drawing”). All nonwinning entries will be rolled over into the next
Date of Drawing. Dates of Drawings are subject to cancellation or change in the event a Game is
cancelled or re-scheduled, or otherwise in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Notwithstanding the
foregoing, the Dates of Drawings will be as follows:

AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE, EVEN IF THE SWEEPSTAKES SHOULD SO INDICATE,
UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE OFFICIAL RULES HAVE BEEN
VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE.
7. Verification of Potential Winner: The potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and
conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The
potential winners will be notified by email, telephone, or registered mail within twenty-four (24) hours
after the applicable Drawing. The potential winners must respond to the notification within forty-eight
(48) hours. The winners may be required to sign and return to Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility and
liability/publicity release in order to claim the Prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to
respond to Sponsor’s notification within the required time period, or refuses to complete and sign the
affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, that potential winner may forfeit the Prize and be
disqualified, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any
reason, Sponsor will select an alternate potential winner from among all remaining eligible non-winning
entries provided that time allows for the selection of an alternate winner. As the Prize is specific to a
given Game, Sponsor reserves the right to not have a winner for a particular Game should it not be able
to select and verify an alternate winner within 5 business days following the applicable Drawing or
should a Game be cancelled.
8. Prize: There are two types of prizes (each, a “Prize”) in this Sweepstakes. Except as otherwise stated
in these Official Rules, eighty-two (82) Prizes in total will be given away. Each Prize is specific to a Game.
The Prize to be awarded to the verified winner of the Drawing will depend on whether the Penguins
post a Shutout for that Game. For the purposes of this Sweepstakes, a “Shutout” shall mean a Game in
which the Penguins win and prevent the opposing team from scoring any goals during the Game (i.e.,
regulation, over-time (if applicable) and shoot-out (if applicable)). By way of example, if the Penguins
win a 0-0 Game on a shoot-out but the other team scores a goal during the shoot-out, it will not be
deemed a “Shutout” for purposes of this Sweepstakes.
Shutout Prize. If the Penguins post a Shutout for the applicable Game, the verified winner of
the Drawing will receive a Two Hundred Fifty Dollar ($250) gift card for Shop ‘n Save. Approximate Retail
Value (“ARV”) of the Shutout Prize is Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250).
Non-Shutout Prize. If the Penguins do not post a Shutout for the applicable Game, the verified
winner of the Drawing will receive a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25) gift card for Shop ‘n Save. ARV of the Non-
Shutout Prize is Twenty-Five Dollars ($25).
TOTAL ARV for all Prizes will be between $1,975 and $19,750.
9. Prize Limitations: Additional terms and conditions of gift cards apply. All federal, state and local taxes
associated with Prize receipt and/or use are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize consists of only
those items specifically stated as part of the Prize. Limit: Each entrant is only eligible to win one (1) Prize.
If an entrant wins a Prize (or is disqualified for any reason), the entrant will not be eligible for future
Drawings. All expenses and costs associated with the acceptance or use of the Prize that are not
expressly specified in these Official Rules as being part of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the
winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. If
required by law, winner will be issued a 1099 tax form for the Prize value. Sponsor will not refund,
credit, or otherwise transfer any portion of the Prize. No cash equivalent will be given for any portion of
the Prize. All portions of the Prize are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as
provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any listed Prize
for one of equal or greater value if the designated Prize should become unavailable for any reason.
10. Release: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and
the decisions of the Sponsor. By accepting a Prize, winners agree to hold harmless Sponsor and its
shareholders, directors, employees, subsidiaries, affiliates and independent contractors (“Released
Parties”) against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of a Prize or participation in a
Sweepstakes. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by
participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any Prize.
11. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes winners’ consent to
Sponsors’ and their agents’ use of winners’ names, likenesses, photographs, voices, opinions and/or
hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or
consideration.
12. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes,
or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control
impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole
discretion. This specifically includes any labor dispute, strike, lock-out, or similar occurrence that
prevents a Game from being played as intended. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to: (a) award
the Prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment; or (b)
not award a Prize, depending upon the nature of the failure, factor, or event. Sponsor reserves the right
in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the
operation of the Sweepstakes, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, the official rules of any
other sweepstakes or promotion, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any
attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a
violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to
seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce
any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
13. Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate
information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming
associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not
limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or
software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4)
technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of
entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in
whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any
Prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or
otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes, if
possible.
14. Disputes: Except where prohibited, all entrants and the winners (collectively, “entrants,” for this
paragraph) agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected
with this Sweepstakes or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of
class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania
(Pittsburgh Division) or the appropriate court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania located in
Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual
out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event
attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will the entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and
entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and
any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have
damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction,
validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the
entrant Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance
with, the laws of Pennsylvania without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether
of Pennsylvania or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any
jurisdiction other than Pennsylvania.
15. Entrant’s Personal Information: Information collected from entrants is subject to the Sponsor’s
Privacy Policy located at http://penguins.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=56463. 16. Waiver: Entrants waive
any right to claim ambiguity in regard to the interpretation or implementation of these Official Rules. 17.
