The Nominee must be someone with whom the Nominator is personally acquainted, and Nominator must have Nominee’s permission to nominate him/her, to submit any of his/her personal information required on the form and to grant permission to be contacted by Sponsor and/or Administrator for Contest administration purposes. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Once on the page follow the instructions provided to fully complete and submit the online entry form, including an essay consisting of eight hundred (800) characters or less (“Essay”), in English, addressing the question “What Makes Your Mom an All-Star Mom?” The premise of the Essay should address what makes your Mom special; how your Mom is there for you or your family on a daily basis; how your Mom is an important part of your life; and what things your Mom does that makes her worthy of this special recognition (hereafter, “Theme”). Entries must be received during the Promotion Period by 11:59:59PM ET on 5/28/18, to be eligible. If you choose to enter using your mobile device, standard data rates apply. The entry form and Essay combined will hereafter be referred to as the “Entry.” All Entries must: 1) Be the original creation of the Nominator; 2) Not have won any type of previous recognition awards (regardless of compensation); 3) Not have been previously published or produced in any fashion (regardless of compensation); 4) Not infringe on any third-party rights; 5) Be suitable for publication as determined at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor; 6) Not contain other brands’ names, labels or logos; and 7) not include any of the following content: (i) pornography, adult-oriented content or any other sexually-explicit material; (ii) materials relating to lotteries or gambling; (iii) explicit language or content, reference to violence, or promotion of illegal activities; (iv) content in violation of intellectual property rights or laws; (v) libellous, defamatory, disparaging, tortious or slanderous materials; (vi) content that denigrates, disparages or reflects negatively on the MLB Entities, their owners and employees, or the game of baseball; (vii) tobacco, alcohol or drugs; (viii) material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age or any other basis protected by federal, state, territory, provincial or local law, ordinance, or regulation; (ix) mention of individuals under legal age of majority without providing a signed release from parent or legal guardian; and (x) material that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state/territory/province where the Entry is created. Any Entry deemed inappropriate, pornographic, lewd, offensive, inappropriate for any reason or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, as determined at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, will not be considered. Modification of an existing work does not qualify as original. In order to be entered into the Contest, the Nominator must comply with the Entry instructions and each Nominator and Nominee must meet the eligibility criteria outlined above. Once submitted, an Entry cannot be deleted, canceled, or modified. All Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering this Contest, Nominators and/or Nominees give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by telephone, email and/or postal mail for the purpose of this Contest only. By entering, each person submitting an Entry warrants and represents that his/her Entry does not defame or otherwise violate the rights of any third party and does not violate any federal, state or local laws or ordinances. Such persons further warrant and represent that: (1) Sponsor shall own the Entry (and all material embodied therein); (2) by entering, the person submitting the Entry irrevocably assigns to Sponsor and its designees any and all rights, title and interest in the Entry including but not limited to all intellectual property rights; (3) Sponsor and its designees shall have, without limitation, the perpetual, right, but not the obligation, worldwide to edit, adapt, modify, publish, exploit and use the Entry in any way and in any media for trade, advertising, promotional and/or other purposes as Sponsor and/or its designees may determine without further consideration, notification or permission of Nominators, the winner or any third parties or, at its discretion, to remove any Entries; and 4) they have secured the requisite consent from any third party referenced or featured in their Entry and, if their Entry is a winner, agrees to provide legal releases for the use of such reference or image in a form satisfactory to Sponsor.Winner Determination: On/about 6/1/18, all eligible Essays received will be judged on the following criteria by Sponsor: 1) Originality, including creativity and uniqueness of Essay and depiction: 0-30 points; 2) Presentation, including compelling delivery, expression, appeal, and overall engagement: 0-30 points; and 3) Relevance to Contest Theme: 0-40 points. The Essay that receives the over-all highest total score, as determined by Sponsor, based on above criteria will be declared the potential Grand Prize winning Entry and the Nominator will be named the potential Grand Prize winner (subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules, such potential Grand Prize winner will be declared the official Grand Prize winner of the Contest). The five (5) Essays that receive the 2nd-6th highest total scores, as determined by Sponsor, based on the above criteria will be declared the potential First Prize winning Entries. Both the Nominators and Nominees of the five (5) potential First Prize winning entries (subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules) will be declared the official First Prize winners of the Contest for a total of ten (10) First Prize winners. In the event of a tie, the tied Entries will be re-judged based on the following criteria: Originality: 100%. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than six (6) Entries if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries. The Nominator of the potential Grand Prize winning Entry and both the Nominators and Nominee of the potential First Prize winning Entries will be notified by email and will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release within two (2) days of date of issuance of notification. The Grand Prize winner will be required to complete an IRS Form W9 and provide his or her Social Security number for tax reporting purposes. The Grand Prize winner’s Nominee and guests must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence unless child or legal ward of Grand Prize winner and such guests (if child or legal ward of Grand Prize winner, Grand Prize winner) will be required to execute and return a Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release prior to prize award. One (1) of the Grand Prize winner’s three (3) guests must be his/her Nominee. Non-compliance with the foregoing or with these Official Rules in any way, the inability to contact a potential winner (as specified above), a potential winner’s rejection of his or her prize or return of prize or prize notification as non-deliverable may result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s discretion, the awarding of the prize at hand to the next runner-up, this process will continue until a winner is confirmed, time permitting. Limit one (1) prize per person and per household.One (1) Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner will receive a 4-day/ 3-night trip for the Grand Prize winner, his/her Nominee, and two (2) additional guests to Washington, D.C. for the 2018 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard played on July 17, 2018 (the “2018 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard”) consisting of round-trip coach class air transportation between a major airport nearest to Grand Prize winner’s residence in the U.S. and a major U.S. gateway airport near/in Washington, D.C.; three (3)-night standard quad-occupancy hotel accommodations (one (1) room) at a hotel in Washington. D.C. determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion, ground transportation in Washington. D.C. to/from the airport and the hotel; and four (4) tickets for Grand Prize winner, and his/her Nominee and two (2) guests for each of the following games, exhibitions and events: (a) one (1) day admission for the MLB All-Star Fanfest determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion, (b) All-Star Sunday featuring: SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, (c) Gatorade All-Star Workout Day at Nationals Park featuring: T-Mobile Home Run Derby, and (d) the 2018 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard (the “Grand Prize”). (Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize = $5,000 US). Actual value of Grand Prize will vary depending on the Grand Prize winner’s city of departure and any difference in value will not be awarded. Tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions specified thereon. Seat locations at game/events/exhibitions, if applicable, shall be determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Administrator and/or MLBAM, as applicable. Administrator, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of air transportation if the Grand Prize winner resides within one-hundred (100) miles of Washington, D.C. (and no additional compensation or substitution will be awarded for difference in prize value). Trip must be taken on dates specified by Administrator or Grand Prize will be forfeited and, at Administrator’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate potential winner may be selected according to the judging criteria set forth above from among all remaining eligible Entries received. If a game, event or exhibition is canceled or postponed for any reason, travel prize will be awarded less attendance to the applicable game and Administrator will substitute that activity(s) with an item(s)/activity(s) of approximately comparable or greater value as determined solely by Administrator. Travel and hotel accommodation restrictions apply. Travel arrangements must be made through Administrator’s agent and on a carrier of Administrator’s choice. The Grand Prize winner and his/her Nominee and guests are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents, including passports and visas (if applicable) prior to travel and must have no impediment to entering the United States. Grand Prize winner, Nominee and guests must travel together on the same itinerary. Grand Prize winner’s Nominee and guest must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence (and at least eighteen (18) years of age) unless child or legal ward of Grand Prize winner. Major League Baseball game and event dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and/or the applicable Club, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The Grand Prize does not include tickets to or for any other game, event or exhibition during the 2018 MLB All-Star Week® other than as specifically set forth herein and/or in prize-related documents. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of any Prize will govern in the event a legal game, event or exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played or held, as applicable, due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. Grand Prize winner and his/her Nominee and guests agree to comply with all Major League Baseball and Major League Baseball Club stadium rules and regulations relating to the use of Major League Baseball game, event and/or exhibition tickets and, in accordance therewith, agree not to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with any intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at such game. Administrator and the applicable MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to the Grand Prize winner and/or his/her Nominee and guests who engage(s) in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game, event or exhibition. The Released Parties will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage, natural disaster or any other event or situation outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition tickets awarded as part of the Grand Prize may not be resold or offered for resale or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever.
