Herr’s Flavored by Philly is back with an exciting, new twist!
More than seven decades ago, Herr’s started as a small business and slowly grew into the Philly household favorite it is today. Now we want to team up with and support three Philly small business food companies or restaurants to deliver Philly its next favorite potato chip flavor. Here’s how it’ll work. Enter your best idea for a local small business-inspired chip flavor for your chance to win the grand prize of $5,000 and a year’s supply of Herr’s, along with $10,000 for the nominated business*. And don’t wait to enter! The first person to submit the small food business and their unique flavor will have the claim to that idea for the contest, even if similar submissions follow.
Wondering what your submission will look like? Check out these examples below! We can’t wait to bring three of your great ideas to life this summer!
*A small business owner may self-nominate a flavor idea, but will only be eligible to win the $10,000 for the winning flavor.

What is the local small business food company or restaurant name?
215 Sauce Company
Are you the business owner/employee of the business or a fan of the business?
Fan of the business
Tell us about their special flavor. What is it called and what does it taste like?
Schuylkill Screamin’Hot Sauce is my favorite sauce of theirs! It’s the perfect blend of heat, zest and all the toppings you want on a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich or even a hot dog. It tastes like ketchup, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Yum! That sauce flavor on a potato chip would simply be unfair.
Why will everyone love this local small business and their special flavor?
215 Sauce Company is my favorite neighborhood spot for sauces and dips. They bottle up and sell everything right there and they always have new condiments to sample. Just really good people!
What is the local small business food company or restaurant name?
West Philly’s Best

Roast Beef Sammy. Not many hoagies can go toe-to-toe with a cheesesteak, but this one absolutely can. Juicy, rare, thinly sliced roast beef, horseradish mayo, LTO, all on a chewy, seeded Italian roll. Make that into a chip and thank me later.
Why will everyone love this local small business and their special flavor?
Philly is known for hoagies and this place makes the best in town. It’s more of a local spot, but that’s what gives it extra-special vibes. Been a proud customer for 10 years, and this place really deserves a spotlight for being a neighborhood staple that makes mean hoagies.

Bellyful Bagels

Bellyful’s Everything Bagel is like eating all bagel flavors at once. It has caraway seeds, garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, salt and onion. It’s all of the AM flavors you could ever want and is my go-to order for a weekend morning around the city.
Why will everyone love this local small business and their special flavor?
I’d put this neighborhood bagel up against one from NYC any day of the week. Bagels aren’t just for New Yorkers. Philly loves ’em too, and this flavor definitely deserves its own local collab. On a bagel. On a chip. On whatever. I. Will.Eat. It. Fun, hip staff here, too! Big game day crowd on Sunday mornings.
