Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT
INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility: Vacation In Paradise Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of
the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia) and Canada (excluding Quebec), who are
at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and representatives of Choice
Hotels International Services Corp. (“Sponsor”), Choice Hotels International, Inc., Merkle Inc.
(“Administrator”), AMResorts, and their parent and affiliate companies as well as the immediate family
(spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible.
The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, municipal, territorial and local laws
and regulations and is void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. Participation constitutes entrant’s full
and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions, which
are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling
all requirements set forth herein.

3. Timing: The Sweepstakes begins on October 22, 2020 at 12:00 a.m. United States Eastern Time
(“ET”), ends on December 27, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”), and consists of ten (10)
entry periods (each a “Entry Period”) as well as a grand prize entry period (the “Grand Prize Entry
Period”) that coincides with the Promotion Period as set forth below.

4. How to Enter: During the Promotion Period, visit http://www.vacationinparadisesweeps.com/
(“Website”) and complete and submit the promotion registration form, which will require a valid email
address to receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Entry Period drawing and one (1)
Sweepstakes entry into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Limit: You may enter one time per day
during the Promotion Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any
attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email
addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and
that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result
in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the
email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the
natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other
organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted
address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
Bonus Sweepstakes Entries: After you register or log into the Website, you may earn bonus Sweepstakes
entries, as described below:
a. Take the Personality Quiz: During the Promotion Period, after you’ve registered for the
Sweepstakes only, follow the links and instructions to take the personality quiz to receive one (1)
bonus Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Entry Period drawing and one (1) bonus
Sweepstakes entry into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Limit: Each entrant can take this
action one (1) time during the Promotion Period.
b. Watch the “Take a Peek at Paradise” Video: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and
instructions to watch the provided video to receive one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry into the
applicable Entry Period drawing and one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry into the Grand Prize Entry
Period drawing. Limit: Each entrant can take this action one (1) time during the Promotion Period.
c. Tell-A-Friend via Email and Twitter (for U.S. Entrants only):
1. Tell A Friend: During the Promotion Period, you will be invited to submit the names and email
addresses of up to three (3) friends per entry period who must be a resident of the U.S and
eligible to enter the Promotion. Each person that you refer will receive an email notifying him
or her about the Promotion. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing
relationship. Limit: You will receive one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Entry
Period drawing and one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing
for each referral.
2. Twitter: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to share this
Sweepstakes on Twitter by clicking on the link to tweet the prepopulated message. You will
receive one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Entry Period drawing and one (1)
bonus Sweepstakes entry into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Limit: Each U.S. entrant
may receive up to three (3) additional Sweepstakes entries, per day, during the Promotion Period
for either sharing via email or Twitter or a combination, as described above.
d. Share on Twitter (for Canadian Entrants only): During the Promotion Period, follow the links and
instructions to share this Sweepstakes on Twitter by clicking on the link to tweet the prepopulated
message. You will receive three (3) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period
drawing and three (3) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing.
Limit: Each Canadian entrant may receive up to three (3) additional Sweepstakes entries, per
day, during the Promotion Period.
e. Book Hotel Stay Through Choice Hotels Website: During the Promotion Period, book a valid
reservation at a Choice Hotels property on the Choice Hotels website (choicehotels.com)
between October 22, 2020 and December 27, 2020. Most stays are “qualifying stays” EXCEPT:
stays booked at Friends and Family Discount Program (LFF) rates, Employee Discount Program
(SED) rates, and International Employee Discount Program (LEMPL) rates. After booking is
complete, you will be presented with a secret word. Visit the Website, register or login to the
Website, as outlined above and input the secret word where prompted. You will receive five (5)
bonus Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and five (5) bonus
Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing.
*To earn additional entries without booking a qualifying stay at a Choice Hotels property, hand
print your name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth on a 3″ x 5″ piece of
paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to “Vacation In Paradise Sweepstakes” –
Choice Hotels Stay, Department 843292, P.O. Box 5110, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5110. You will
receive five (5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and five (5)
bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. All mail-in entries must
be handwritten and must be postmarked by the applicable Entry Period and received within five
(5) business days later. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be
acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of
receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible,
illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.
Limit: Each entrant may receive up to five (5) additional Sweepstakes entries during the
Promotion Period for either booking a valid reservation or mailing in, as described above.
f. Book an Ascend® All-Inclusive Resort Through Choice Hotels: During the Promotion Period,
book a valid vacation at a participating Ascend All-Inclusive Resort** though Choice Hotels
(choicehotels.com) between October 22, 2020 and December 27, 2020. Once complete, you will
be presented with a secret word. Visit the Website, register or login to the Website, as outlined
above and input the secret word where prompted. You will receive ten (10) bonus Sweepstakes
entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and ten (10) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the
Grand Prize Entry Period drawing.
**To earn additional entries without booking a valid AMResorts, hand print your name, address,
phone number, email address, and date of birth on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and mail it in an
envelope with proper postage to “Vacation In Paradise Sweepstakes” – AMResorts, Department
843292, P.O. Box 5110, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5110. You will receive ten (10) bonus
Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and ten (10) bonus Sweepstakes
entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. All mail-in entries must be handwritten and
must be postmarked by the applicable Entry Period and received within five (5) business days
later. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or
returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or
postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.
Limit: Each entrant can take this action one (1) time during the Promotion Period and may receive
up to ten (10) additional Sweepstakes entries for either booking a valid vacation or mailing in, as
described above.
g. Sign Up For Choice Privileges: If you’re not already a Choice Privileges® Rewards Program
member, you will receive a bonus entry if you sign up during the Promotion Period. Choice
Privileges membership is free; membership details may be reviewed at
https://www.choicehotels.com/choice-privileges. You will receive five (5) bonus Sweepstakes
entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and five (5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the
Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Limit: Each entrant can take this action one (1) time during the
Promotion Period.
h. Download the Choice Hotels App: During the Promotion Period, download the Choice Hotels
mobile app (“App”) to a mobile device×, if you haven’t done so previously. The App is free but
subject to the listed terms and conditions described within the App. Standard data charges may
apply; see carrier for details. If you’ve previously downloaded the App, launch the App during the
Promotion Period. You will be presented with a secret word. Visit the Website, register or login to
the Website, as outlined above and input the secret word where prompted. You will receive five
(5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and five (5) bonus
Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Limit: Each entrant can take this
action one (1) time during the Promotion Period.

i. Book Through the Choice Hotels App: During the Promotion Period, book a valid reservation at
a Choice Hotels property, using the Choice Hotels mobile app. Most stays are “qualifying stays”

Program (SED) rates, and International Employee Discount Program (LEMPL) rates. Download

You will receive five (5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and
five (5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing.
To earn an additional entry without booking a valid reservation at a Choice Hotels property
through the App, hand print your name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth
on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to “Vacation In
Paradise Sweepstakes” – App Booking,” Department 843292, P.O. Box 5110, Kalamazoo, MI
49003-5110. You will receive five (5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the applicable Entry Period
drawing and five (5) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. All
mail-in entries must be handwritten and must be postmarked by the applicable Entry Period and
received within five (5) business days later. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor
and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed
to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid,
unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.
Limit: Each entrant can take this action one (1) time during the Promotion Period and may receive
up to ten (5) additional Sweepstakes entries for either booking a valid reservation through the app
or mailing in, as described above.
j. Visit the “Choice Hotels Offers” page: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and
instructions to visit the Choice Hotels Offers page. You will receive three (3) bonus Sweepstakes
entries into the applicable Entry Period drawing and three (3) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the
Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Limit: Each entrant can take this action one (1) time per day
during the Promotion Period.
5. Drawings: Administrator is an independent judging organization, whose decisions as to the
administration and operation of the Sweepstakes and the selection of the potential winners are final and
binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Administrator will randomly select the potential
Sweepstakes winners from all eligible entries received during the applicable Entry Period/Grand Prize
Entry Period on or around the dates listed above in Section 3. Non-winning Sweepstakes entries will
carryover into any subsequent Entry Period drawing. The potential winners will be notified by mail, email
or phone. Except where prohibited, each potential winner (parent/legal guardian if a winner is a minor in
his/her place of residence) will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Compliance, Liability and
Publicity Release, which must be received by Administrator within five (5) days of the date notice or
attempted notice is sent, in order to claim his/her prize. If any potential winner is a Canadian resident
he/she will be required to answer a time limited skill testing question without assistance, in order to be
eligible to receive a prize and he/she will be required to complete IRS Form W-8BEN. Receiving a prize is
contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to
sign and return the Declaration of Compliance, Liability and Publicity Release or provide any other
requested information within the required time period (if applicable), fails to answer the skill-testing
question correctly (if applicable), or prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits the prize.
In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize
to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only three (3)
alternate drawings will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded.
6. Prizes: Winners must be a Choice Privileges member in order to claim prize.
ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: Grand Prize winner will receive a four (4) night stay for up to four (4) individuals

Visa® Prepaid Card. Winner of this prize will receive an email from
notification@prepaiddigitalsolutions.com that prompts them to select either a physical or virtual
Visa Prepaid Card. Visa® Prepaid Card. Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, Member FDIC,
pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. Use your Visa Prepaid card anywhere Visa debit
cards are accepted in the United States and U.S. Territories. The card may not be used at any

Prizes not valid for stay at any resort location in Spain. The stay portion of each prize is fulfilled as a
voucher. Vouchers are valid for stays through December 22, 2021, only, are subject to resort availability,
and are subject to the blackout dates listed below.

Stays must be booked through the AMResorts call center at 800-597-4761; let them know that you
have a voucher for the stay.
For All Prizes: Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at
the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater
value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Winners are responsible for all
taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Odds of winning an Entry Period 1 – 12 Prize
depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Entry Period. Odds of winning
the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Limit: of
one (1) prize per person. Total ARV for all prizes: $34,287 USD.
U. S. Tax Liabilities: If a winner is a resident of the United States, they will receive an IRS form 1099 and
will be responsible for all taxes associated with acceptance of the prize. If a winner is a resident of
Canada, Sponsor will gross up the prize value in an amount to satisfy the 30% withholding requirement.
The withholding amount will be submitted to the US taxing authority IRS (the United States tax agency)
as required by law and winner will receive a U.S tax form 1042 from the Sponsor reflecting the total value
of the prize, including the gross up amount and the withholding amount submitted to the IRS will be noted
separately.
7. Release: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Choice Hotels
International, Inc., AMResorts, Administrator, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers,
distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent
companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the
“Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal
injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or
use or misuse of any prize.
8. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes each winner’s consent
to Sponsor’s and its agents’ use of winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or
hometown and state or province for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further
payment or consideration.
9. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes,
or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, human error or any other factor impairs the integrity or
proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves
the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or
the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or any other
promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately
undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and,
should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to
the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not
constitute a waiver of that provision.
10. Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate
information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming
associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited
to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3)
unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or
human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (5)
late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which
may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or
receipt or use or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been
erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in
the Sweepstakes, if it is possible. If the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, is discontinued for any reason,
Sponsor, at its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up
to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number
of prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other
reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available
and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random
drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims.
11. Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes
of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved
individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court
for the Eastern District of Michigan (Southern Division) or the appropriate Michigan State Court located in
Oakland County, Michigan U.S.A.; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual
out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event
attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant
hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other
damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied
or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and
enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in
connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of
the State of Michigan, U.S.A. without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of
the State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any
jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.
