1. ELIGIBILITY
The #myessentials is open to legal residents of
all fifty (50) of the United States and the District of Columbia
who are enrolled in a high school. Contest winners must meet,
agree to and adhere to CIEE Terms and Conditions for studying
abroad. These can be found at http://www.ciee.org/high-school-
summer-abroad/faq/terms-conditions. In addition, winners must
adhere to policies set forth by his/her high school. Winners
can choose from any 2015 CIEE summer program providing they meet
the program’s specific eligibility requirements and are accepted
to the program. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and
local laws and regulations.

2.CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on 2/5/2015 at 12pm Eastern Standard time and ends on 3/11/2015 at 12pm Eastern Standard Time (Contest
Period). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified.

3. HOW TO ENTER
Online entry will be available by visiting our Facebook Page:
https://www.facebook.com/CIEEHSandGap and following the
directions provided.

4. THE CONTEST
Each entrant shall submit a photo representing a collection of
essential items that he or she would bring along to their study
abroad program. Photos should be posted by contestants via
Facebook.

Five (5) winners will be chosen by CIEE, each to receive five thousand dollars ($5,000) towards the cost of a 2015 CIEE high school summer study abroad program, subject to availability. The awards cannot be redeemed for cash.

5. SELECTION OF CONTEST WINNERS
CIEE in its sole discretion will determine the winners based on originality of content. Peer voting will not increase or
decrease your likelihood of winning. Winners will be selected and announced via Facebook on a weekly basis as follows:
• 2/11/2015, First Winner Announced
• 2/18/2015, Second Winner Announced
• 2/25/2015, Third Winner Announced
• 3/4/2015, Fourth Winner Announced
• 3/12/2015, Fifth Winner Announced

6. AGREEMENT TO OFFICAL RULES
Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants’ full and

unconditional agreement to accept these Contest Rules and the
decisions of CIEE, which are final and binding. Being selected

as a winner is contingent upon being compliant with these
Contest Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

7. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By participating in the Contest, Entrants agree to release and
hold harmless CIEE, its employees, officers, directors,
affiliates and advertising and promotional agencies
(collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any
claim or cause of action rising out of participation in the
Contest, including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors
that may prevent an entrant from submitting an entry; (b)
unauthorized human intervention in the contest; (c) printing

errors; (d) errors in the administration of the Contest or the
processing of entries. The Released Parties assume no
responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion,
defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line
failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or
alteration of entries. Released Parties are not responsible for
any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network
or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or
providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail
or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical
problems, human error, traffic congestion on the Internet or at
any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or
damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating
to or resulting from participation in his Contest or downloading
any materials in this Contest.

8. GENERAL
Winners grant to CIEE and those acting pursuant to its
authority, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use
worldwide without limitation at any time the Winners’ full name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and/or biographical
information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes
without further payment or additional consideration, and without review, approval or notification.

9. BINDING ARBITRATION
I agree that any dispute concerning, relating or referring to
this Contest shall be resolved exclusively by binding
arbitration in Portland, Maine, according to the then existing
commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association. Such
proceedings will be governed by substantive Maine law. The
arbitrator and not any federal, state or local court or agency
shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating
to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability,
conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but
not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract
is void or voidable.

PARENTAL CONSENT AGREEMENT

I, as the parent or guardian of the above student,
authorize my child/ward to enter this Contest and I authorize CIEE to add his or her contact information as detailed in the Contact Submission Form into CIEE’s database.
